Sink Refinishing and Restoration in Dallas Fort Worth
December 8, 2010This double sink is being used in a kitchen remodel. My client hoped that it could be restored to its original condition instead of having to use a modern sink. As you can see, the sink had significant damage and required repair as well as restoration. As usual, both the client and I were pleased with the finished product.

I always tell my clients that the kitchen sink is more abused than a shower or bathtub. If you have a porcelain or refinished sink, it can chip when pots, pans, glassware, silverware, or dishes are dropped into it. Unless the sink is unique to your décor, antique, or is set under tile, I usually recommend replacing it with a new model. Kitchen sinks can be refinished, and they look great afterward. But practicality dictates that a homeowner should weigh the pros and cons before refinishing.
