Sink and Bathtub Refinishing in Dallas – Fort Worth
November 16, 2010Hi there! Just wanted to share a few photos of my recent jobs with you. This first set of photos represents chip repair on a kitchen sink. I don’t often recommend refinishing a kitchen sink because, with daily use, it will likely chip. However, if you’re selling your home or have a rental property, refinishing may be a good solution. You can see here that chip repair made the sink look almost as good as new.
In these photos, you see a bathtub I refinished. Years of wear and tear, cleaning, and use had made the tub’s surface dingy and stained. Porcelain, like our teeth, is porous. It soaks up stains. So, naturally, over time, porcelain discolors. However, after porcelain refinishing, the bathtub looks clean and new. I provide all my clients with cleaning and care instructions that will prolong the life of a newly refinished surface. The process I use is very durable. It can last 10 or 20 years, but, like porcelain, it’s susceptible to chipping and staining over time. A refinished bathtub can be stripped with chemicals, then refinished again when it begins to show wear.
