Chipped bathtub? We can fix it!
April 6, 2010
Porcelain bathtubs with small to moderately sized chips, dings, or scratches can often be repaired with professional chip repair. Not all problems can be remedied with this process. Here are a few things to consider:
- For imperfections above the water line, chip repair works beautifully, even on off-white and almond bathtubs. Below the water line, particularly around the drain, chip repair may not last. In this situation, Chris will recommend refinishing.
- If you are not concerned with longevity – if your chip repair is only cosmetic – Chris can make a chip below the water line look great. Over time, the refinished area can wear away, and the chip will resurface. If you choose chip repair below the water line, Chris does not offer any guarantee.
- Bathtubs with structural problems should not be repaired or refinished. If your tub is cracked, stand in it and bounce,. If the tub moves, it may be unstable. You might need the tub reset before it’s refinished or repaired.
- Chip repair can work on porcelain and fiberglass bathtubs, showers, sinks, counters, appliances, and some tile surfaces.
- In addition to chip repair, Chris can remove stains, scratches, and minor imperfections in many cases.
Chris has done bathtub chip repair for prestigious custom home builders and hotels. You’ll be amazed at the results. Your bathtub’s chip will look like new!
